Norkut comes from a real operational story, not from theory.
Our foundation comes from Sigo, an organization with more than 50 years in Venezuelan retail, where for more than two decades one of the country's most robust ERPs was developed, designed and led by Orlando De León, CTO of Sigo Enterprises.
That system was not built to sell software. It was built to operate a real store network, with complexity, scale, and daily demands.
Evolution
With the Venezuelan crisis, we decided to separate the technology from the operating business and turn it into an independent company.
This is how Norkut is born.
For years, we evolved our solutions until we understood one key thing:
traditional software was no longer enough to run modern retail.
The next step was to create a cloud system designed specifically for retail. That is how Melé ERP, our direct predecessor, was born.
Today, Melé ERP has more than 12,000 active users and operates some of the most important chains in Venezuela in sectors such as supermarkets, household appliances, pharmacies, cosmetics, and specialized retail. This real operational base is the foundation upon which Norkut was built.
Transformation
With the arrival of artificial intelligence, we understood that the problem was no longer just managing the operation.
It was about executing it with the speed and consistency that humans alone cannot achieve.
That's why we started building Norkut as a new operational layer:

Why Norkut exists now.
The infrastructure is already digital.
For the first time, every transaction, every inventory move, and every customer interaction generates a real-time signal. The raw material for operational visibility exists now. It didn't before.
Margins can no longer withstand inefficiency.
What was a tolerable loss 10 years ago is today the difference between profitability and bankruptcy. Every stockout, every overstock, every late decision takes its toll at the end of the month.
A new generation takes control.
Children, nieces, nephews, and operators trained with modern tools are taking the reins of family chains in LATAM. They won't tolerate 2000s interfaces. They demand systems that take action, not just report.
Norkut exists because these three forces converge now. 10 years ago it wasn't possible. In 10 years it will be obvious. We are in the window.
Our early progress included:

Optimized models with 4-bit quantization
Multi-tenant architecture on AWS
Distributed Databases (MongoDB)
Automated infrastructure with Terraform
Coordinated agent factory for assisted development (operational from June 2026, 23x development speed)
This allowed us to reduce latency and costs, and improve the quality of inference at the source of the operation.
Current View
Today, Norkut is evolving into something bigger:
an intelligence-driven software factory
We are integrating:
Automatic logic generation
AI-assisted development (Cursor / agents)
Integrated code pipelines (GitHub)
Continuous creation of new capabilities
And a connected network of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers sharing authorized operational signals to better coordinate physical retail in LATAM. That network is Norkut Network — the next layer of the platform.
